Osato Laboratory Inc. opens a New Carbon Offset Factory

On September 29, a completion ceremony was held for the Osato Laboratory's New Factory. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were so happy to receive this day together with all the people who had been involved with building this factory.
We make FPP from papaya, which is "gift from the sun." This new factory for the final process of FPP's production is also using "gift from the sun", which is solar power, to ship FPP to the all over the world. We will be able to generate enough electricity to supply 100% needs of the factory by August 2011.
The factory was built by the Gifu's leading builders of Hinaya Construction Company (founded in 1600). Thanks to their craftsmanship, it was beautifully built like a European building. It is made as an environmentally friendly factory: It is designed to be filled with bright natural light and all the electricity bulbs are LED (light-emitting diode).
The walls and the ceilings have good heat insulating effect. This is how it will become possible to cover all the electricity with the solar power.
The wide open garden conjures images of Provence. You will be able to relax so much in this garden looking at a view of vineyard (Chardonnay、Pinot Noir), roses, olive trees, lemon trees and lavenders.
On October 21, the new factory was reviewed by the ISO organization and officially certified with ISO22000:2005, ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004.
