Cropping the Grapes
Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grew excellently without use of pesticide this year again.
We thought they might be ready to eat, and tried picking some off the vines.
We picked off 10 bunches each and they weighed about 1.6kg.
They're both wine grapes, but they taste good just as they are.
Chardonnay had a fresh sweetness with a little sourness, and Pinot Noir had a rich sweetness.
We were right, it was harvesting season! We'll pick the rest and make grape juice like we challenged last year.
